The State Fire and Emergency Services Training Framework lays the foundations for fire and emergency services training and exercising in Victoria and sets out the future direction for a range of joint actions.
The framework enables a unified approach to fire and emergency services training and exercising in Victoria, one of which is the most effective use of the state training facilities managed by a range of agencies.
This model of sharing and maximising use of facilities supports an ‘all hazards’ approach to training and exercising, and maximises public benefit and return on investment.
The implementation of the Framework will be overseen by the Emergency Services Leadership Group (ESLG), which includes the Emergency Management Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of Emergency Management Victoria.
