VicEmergency

VicEmergency channels provide a centralised location for Victorians to access timely emergency information and warnings.

Fire Danger Ratings

Victoria's fire danger rating system follows the Australian Fire Danger Rating System, which is the same in every state and territory across Australia.

Emergency broadcasters

The Victorian Government has formal arrangements for the broadcast of emergency warnings and information to the community.

Emergency Alert

Emergency Alert is a warning system that is used to send people a voice message to landline telephones and a text message to mobile phones.

Community Alert Sirens

Community alert sirens are used as part of Victoria’s warning system for emergencies – including flood, fire and storm.

Victorian Warning Arrangements

The Victorian Warning Arrangements was established to provide emergency response agencies with a coordinated and consistent direction to provide information and/or warnings to inform the Victorian community of a potential or actual emergency event.

Emergency data

The State of Victoria, Australia provides emergency warnings and other emergency data  as one of the ways you can inform yourself in relation to emergency incidents and activities in Victoria, however emergency information is often collated and provided under challenging conditions and time frames.
